June 04 -- Engine being lowered into the chassis with gearbox attached. What would I have done without the engine crane. This photo was quite early on in the process. I found that the crane could not raise the engin up high enough so I had to resort to lowering the front of the chasis to get enough clearance. With hindsight I should have purchased a larger crane - the difference in cost is marginal compared to the cost of the car. I intend to sell the crane and other tools on e-bay at the completion of the build.
