June 04 -- Front of the engine. Note that it does not sit square in the chassis. This is a Sportster 'feature' which can cause a problem if you try to reuse the original propshaft - the propshaft fouls the side of the transmission tunnel - you end up needing a new propshaft. The Steering rack is clearly visible on the front. At this stage the steering shaft is not connected.
